If you are someone who can simply not resist the temptation of music and for whom the magic of strings is almost incomparable to anything else in this world then making a purchse of an Electric Guitar definitely requires no second thoughts about the whole idea. When planning to buy an electric guitar several things need to be taken care of. These account for attributes such as brand, price, build and sound. That's why it is always advisable to follow a suitable electric guitar guide before you accomplish your final purchase. Also an electric guitar guide offers valuable suggestions on how to find someone who can provide electric guitar playing lessons, as well as what type of strings are best for your particular make
Hence purchase of a proper guide is a prerequisite for buying an electric guitar. One of the first things to decide when buying an electric guitar is what make one wants to go for. No doubts that the Fenders and the Gibson's are extremely popular brands but still there are many more brands available, and some at a fraction of the cost of these two well-know brands. It is equally important to take care of what wood the guitar is going to be made out of. Although one might just think a guitar is a guitar, but it is important to understand that the type of wood that's used can make all the difference relating to the quality and sound. For example, mahogany imparts a rich, low tone whilst Indian rosewood offers a sound with a far higher tone. Maple is probably one of the most popular choices, especially from the way it flattens the sound of the guitar at high volume. Another important aspect which calls for special attention is the neck. Since it can be difficult to get your fingers and hand coordinated along the neck while learning, a slimmer neck may be a better option than one that is thicker set. Necks that are part of the body are known as solid-body guitars, and often have a far richer sound than those that are "glued" to the body, or separate.
In terms of an ultimate and unique choice one of the best electric guitar tips is to buy a guitar with 24 frets (the frets are the little separate channels that run all the way up the neck, and command what key and tone is being played). Most electric guitars come with 22 frets as standard; however, those wishing to play in the "higher register" (where notes will be far higher in pitch than normal), then a 24-fret guitar is more suitable. The entire process of the purchase of an electric guitar becomes very simple and convenient with the useful instructions of a reliable and informative electronic guitar guide. Thereafter, one can proceed with full enthusiasm to buy an electric guitar and play to the fine tune of strings exploring music in extraordinary style!

The Angel Of Destiny
It calls to him in dreams, The far off call of purpose, He sees the visions while he is awake, And late at night his dreams, Tell him what he must do, His destiny is a long winding road, The magnetism of the molecules of time, Keeping him firm in his tracks, Sometimes he is so sad, The angel of destiny he cries in the night, As time and illusion, try to keep him from what he is meant to do, And sometimes the visions are so unclear, And the dreams end in blackness, He must rely on his heart, The tugging of his instinctive intuition, That tells him the ways to journey, Through the trambeling worlds of his many tomorrows, In a forgotten place in time, Awakened by the call of Destiny.

Preserving Your Child's Memories With a Photo Collage
“They grow up so fast,” every parent bemoans. Scrapbooking is one of the most effective and enjoyable ways to keep childhood memories intact and fun to share. Whether you have one child or several, you’ll want to capture many of those precious moments forever in an album or photo collage.
A child's scrapbook is among the most prized possessions a parent can create, so if you choose a paper scrapbook, you may want to put it in a fireproof safe for safekeeping. Easier yet is to create a digital photo collage.
Today it’s easier than ever for anyone to become a collage maker. All it takes is a camera and computer. You can create wonderful scrapbook pages on your computer and print them out to add to your traditional homemade scrapbook so you have a mixture of homemade and digital pages. With the advent of the Internet and computers, this is only natural; even traditional scrapbookers have begun to combine the ancient art of scrapbooking with some digital downloads integrated into their layouts and albums.
With collage maker programs, you can try out different types of backgrounds, designs, formats and embellishments before you commit to one style. Anything you do to your page can be redone many times over until you choose the perfect photo collage to help preserve your child’s memories.
Below are tips that will help you chronicle and preserve those moments so you and your family can view them over and over again. Many parents create a separate album and photo collage for each phase of their child's life.
The baby book. Your child’s baby book may feature items such as baby pictures, locks of your baby's hair, cards you received before and after the birth, and various journal entries made by the proud parent, including entries during your pregnancy. You can also include when he began to walk and talk, and memories of his first birthday. To help protect this priceless heirloom, consider using a collage maker to create a photo collage and then integrating these digital or scanned photos of your baby into your book.
The toddler book. Since most children are quite photogenic and active during this stage, you will probably accumulate many photos to fill this album. Increase the vitality, organization and interest in these pictures by creating a photo collage. Make journal entries that help the pictures tell a story in such a way that anyone reading it can easily imagine being there.
The young student book. As your child gets older, be sure to photograph important moments such as graduations, birthday parties and any other important occasions. You can also save and scan drawings your child creates at this time and add them to a photo collage. Many digital photo collage templates feature themes such as birthdays, school days and holidays.
Consider teaching your child to be a collage maker too. A photo collage can be a bonding family project and provide a positive learning experience for your child, teaching them the principles of creativity, inspiration and patience. Encourage your child to choose photos and suggest ideas. A young collage maker will add personality to the photo collage and help make it more special to both of you.
The student book. Create a photo collage chronicling your child’s junior high and high school years. Include pictures taken at school functions and family events, providing appropriate captions for each.
The photo collage for your grown child. Naturally, a photo collage is ideal to help remember your child’s momentous occasions such as her first job, college graduation and wedding. If your children have taken part in the photo collage process, creating a photo collage might even become a family tradition that they will take with them throughout their lives.
It is likely these albums will be viewed many times and can make treasured gifts for your children and your parents. Choosing a digital photo collage allows you to duplicate each album as it is created so you can easily print and share copies. After all, your child isn't the only one who will wish to look back on these special times. Your child’s grandparents and godparents, and even your future grandchildren, may wish to own copies of the photo collage collection you create now.

Why Canvas Art Prints Add Modern Life To Your Walls
Wallpaper is so passé! Painting your walls is now a much more acceptable and fashionable way of making your home warm and welcoming. But blank painted walls only go half way. You have to put something on those blank walls.
Small lamps, framed photos and other decorations are nice, but you need a gaudy amount to cover an adequate portion of the wall. Even a medium-size wall will "swallow" a handful of smaller decorations.
Never fear, there is a solution. Canvas wall art is a fantastic way to use a minimal amount of decorations to add a maximum amount of color, warmth and excitement to your walls.
For many people canvas wall art may carry a corny or outdated connotation conjuring up images of 1980s pop culture. But modern canvas wall art has evolved considerably, and vendors now offer a wide range of canvas art prints, photos on canvas, Banksy prints and acrylic-mounted art.
So what's the difference, what type of wall art fits you best? Let's examine.
Canvas Art Prints
Canvas art prints can range from contemporary art to classical art and comes in a variety of sizes, from large to really, really large.
A nice, custom-ordered canvas print with contemporary art that will create a gentle and warm background image is ideal for most homes. At the other end of the spectrum, you could order a large contemporary art print that really "pops," that will serve as an automatic conversation starter. And everything else in between.
Photos on Canvas
What if you really do want those family photos or special pictures of your loved ones on your walls, but they are just too small to work without plastering your wall with too many photos?
Again, canvas art prints to the rescue.
Most canvas wall art vendors will now take your photos, blow them up and print them to large canvas boards. Now you can share those special moments and display your loved ones like never before. And best of all, you can choose only the very best photos and still have enough to adequately decorate your walls.
In addition to your own family photos, you can also order large canvas pictures of famous movie scenes or celebrities.
Banksy Prints
Banksy art has become increasingly popular thanks to its pseudo-anonymous British-born originator who made a name for himself painting graffiti that appears to come to life, so to speak.
A lot of artists have copied Banksy's work and techniques, and now you too can have some of that unique Banksy artwork on your walls thanks to canvas wall art.
Acrylic Art
The best alternative to canvas wall art is to frame your art in an acrylic wall mount.
Many of the same vendors that will create stunning canvas wall art will also take your photos or artwork, print it to high-grade vinyl and seal it in a strong clear acrylic sheet.
Benefits of acrylic art over canvas prints include the ability to easily clean the acrylic mount by simply wiping it down. Same big addition of color and warmth, much easier clean-up. A no-brainer for anyone with kids or for public venues like bars and restaurants.
Lee Woods runs the Canvas Art Prints website One Blank Wall. One Blank Wall provide unique Canvas Prints and Photos on Canvas.

Reality TV met it's STONE COLD SOBER match (and so did I) by JENNIFER RACHIDI
I have recently discovered the debacle that is the so-called music industry. I have had years of anticipation building before I actually met my favorite artist and songwriter, Jared Blake. That seemingly incidental moment turned out to be a monumental end of an era for me. I was given a CD mixed with Jared’s songs and instantly picked out his incredible voice. I couldn’t get enough and was immediately prompted to find out more about the man behind the voice. Jared Blake opened my ears and eyes to a world of mystery. I could write this off to fate; but, instinctively, I had to figure out why I felt so drawn to his music. So, my quest to enlightenment began.
I am the equivalent of a first grader in college when it comes to music. I had piano and violin lessons as a child, but lacked any motivation and certainly the talent to excel in either. I have lungs of steel, but wouldn’t dare take my tunes out of the shower. Despite my own disabilities, I enjoy listening to the talents of others. Music remained an unearthed passion of mine, but to what extent would only come to demonstrate itself in due time.
I may be shooting myself in the foot; however, I’ll go ahead and admit it—I had no clue that the guy singing the song didn’t write it! I just wanted to turn the radio on and enjoy. The old saying, “ignorance is bliss”, worked for me, until that day…yep, that day I met Jared.
Being a business major in college, I immediately tried to make sense out of the industry. I found out quickly that the business structure seemed, well, non-existent. The shear explanation of the inner workings of the industry was enough to make anyone’s head spin. The conglomerates of corporations, departments, agencies and countless others have put enough confusion into the business to confuse even themselves.
Sadly, the passionate and amazingly talented can get flustered and quit, never to be heard by the masses. A soapbox in the form of a large stage with spotlights is going to save these musical anomalies from extinction. Allowing an artist to exalt their real talents, without the manipulation and control of a large corporate influence, is vital…and so… I introduce, “Stone Cold Sober”. The show is real music and real life—filmed for your viewing pleasure! Television and film collide with musical talent beyond your wildest stretch of the imagination. Add in a colorful cast, grab your seat and watch the creativity explode. You then begin to envision what is America’s first REALity music series, “Stone Cold Sober”. No “judges” or “contest” to edit and control your opinion…just you, Jared and his explosive team.
Brian Adams gets the credit here; his monstrous attempt to bring attention and a twisted entertainment value to the public was a blessing to me. Joining Mr. Adams, a paramount cast, and Eric Mofford’s brilliant direction would perfectly pay my vendetta to the musical quirkiness bestowed within me.
The show’s production kicks off with a musical tour exposing the talent, original music, fans and secrets all wrapped into a musician’s life. It’s sure to rock your socks off! Filming will vary by location, but will expose the gritty details in the average, and not-so-average, day of a singer/songwriter. In the studio, at the Grammy’s, and hanging out with “stars” are all only piece of the beginning. The best part for fans is that the chance to be a part of the show is probable, and the appeal to watch is going to be irresistible!
The entire “Stone Cold Sober” group is ready to unleash its mayhem. Be on the look- out and while you’re at it, check out www.stonecoldsobermusic.com for updates and details. It’s reality—take one—Action!

Using Comic Books To Illustrate Political News
Some say that "Captain America" and "Superman" were little more than symbols of American patriotism, calling citizens to accept the call of duty for their country and do something larger than life. Superman fought the Japanese during WWI and Captain America punched Hitler in the face during WWII.
However, today's political news resounds through the comic graphic novels world in an entirely different way now. Some dark comics came out of the Reagan years, but superheroes have been plunged into all-out civil warfare against their own governments.
On October 8th, 2008, just before the November elections, John McCain and Barack Obama starred in their own comic books published by IDW Publishing, only it was nothing like you would think. Even though "Savage Dragon" publicly endorsed Barack Obama in a recent issue, the IDW publications were presented as objective, illustrated, political news biographies of the two nominees.
It has been described as "heavy on the facts, light on opinion." The McCain book featured art by Stephen Thompson and writing by Andy Helfer (who also did "Road to Perdition" and "A History of Violence") and the Obama book was illustrated by Tom Morgan and written by Jeff Mariotte (who has done Superman, Spider-Man and Star Trek comic book series).
"We didn't do anything that is sensational here," said Scott Dunbier from IDW. "We're stuck to the facts." Dunbier added that graphic novels have proven extremely effective in reaching and educating people. "We're not in the business of doing textbooks," he clarified, "But I think comic books really o have the great potential to inform and teach and do more than just standard superhero comics." Fans can pre-order the books through their website or visit Uclick to view the comics over their cell phones.
Political news isn't always so directly reported through comic book art, though. Sometimes, events in modern life are paralleled through events in the comic book heroes universe. For example, Marvel Comic's "Civil War," released in 2007, introduces an epic battle following the passage of "the Superhuman Registration Act" (much like the Patriot Act in our world), which asks that people trade in some of their liberties for security.
The Registration, more specifically, requires all costumed heroes to be licensed and trained, disclosing their secret identities to the government. While some characters in the DC Universe, like Fantastic Four's Reed Richards and Iron Man support the registration, others like Captain America develop an underground resistance.
Spiderman initially supports the idea so much he unmasks himself on live television, but later recants when he sees the Abu Ghraib-like prisons. Whether these obtuse allegories are an effective way of making a political statement or not remains to be seen.
There are also political news people like K. Thor Jensen and Jenny Gonzalez who focus on war stories. In "House of Twelve Goes To War," the depictions focus on little-known aspects of the War on Terrorism. "Some sad, some action-packed, some unfathomable, but I promise you each and every one is 100% true," the website declares.
"Team 12 was drafted by the government and forced into working towards its war effort. When we returned, we decided the truth must be told in the most effective way possible; auto-bio comics! These are our stories of our experiences during the Great War."

It might be too little and too late in the Wrestler
This movie highlights Mickey Rourke as the Wrestler Randy Robinson who is now towards the later end of a long and popular career as a Wrestler.
Other central characters are Cassidy played by Marissa Tomei and the Wrestler’s daughter Stephanie played by Evan Rachel Ward.
Randy, has had success and accolades as a well known and followed wrestler on the circuit but he seems to be paying various prices for this that are starting to have a steep cost. One of these is that this carefully constructed world of wrestling, and having many fans and promotions to these fans, is about all he knows and feels comfortable with and he seems to have been okay with neglecting to expand or tend to anything else including the relationship with his daughter Stephanie and his ability to work through anything else patiently.
His turn towards what is necessary to do apparently to be very successful in wrestling has included injecting himself with what are apparently steroids which are now having side effects damaging his body.
His possible turning to something else other than wrestling becomes a central theme to this movie and there is the question of whether he can make this turn or if there is now anything left to turn too. From this a major theme that develops for all the central characters is whether it is too little and too late and what if anything can be salvaged from here.
Cassidy, works giving lap dances at the club, and while this involves reaching out to people, an artificial line is there that doesn’t seem to allow here to connect a bit more deeply to anyone as everyone remains in the category of customer.
She does befriend Randy, who is now becoming a regular at the club and he tries to bring the friendship out of the club.
In the meantime also, as his health is faltering, he wants to rekindle a relationship with his daughter Stephanie, and from her point of view this is coming through with too little and too late.
Some of the scenes in this movie are visually haunting to where you could say they have the feel of a post apocalypse.
One scene that is particularly poignant is when Randy and Cassidy who has a daughter also, meet outside the club for “one beer” and talk about how the 80’s were good. And the 90’s weren’t so good. They share a brief quick attempt at a kiss as well as one beer in the spirit of fondness but you think they could have had a relationship that spanned all these years gone yonder that might have been great, but now it seems just this little is here now compared to all that might had been.
The wrestling scenes were pretty rough, and the movie runs through several early. From this you would think most people wouldn’t be able to do this sport, and it also makes you think of the roughness of football as a parallel sport where the participants are getting thrown and trounced all over the place.
As the movie progresses you see that the group of wrestlers are really friends despite their seeming animosity in the ring, and sports are really like that where there is this idea of all of us are in this together and there is a camaraderie that has its beauty to that. Even after an NBA game, the players shake hands as if they are buddies and many really are despite playing for rival teams.
Another haunting scene is when Cassidy is having a night at the club where all her potential customers seem to be ignoring her as the camera pans around, she spots Randy, talks to him briefly and then looks around again and realizes that nobody is going to connect with her right now and she can’t even find anything at the lowest common denominator and she makes the on the fly decision to go back and hang with Randy in his corner of the club. This scene was a metaphor for her limited in scope and crumbling world and seemingly inability to find more and how everything around her seemed to have a vacancy to it and it really wasn't necessarily her fault it was just the reality of the way it is. Within this overall vacancy there really wasn't much left to reach for.
Another great scene was when Randy, now experiencing health problems starts out jogging and has difficulty doing that. This scene goes into some of the current issues of sports in general, where there has been urgency towards things like steroids for players with a large fan and financial base, but they can potentially take away everything from the person who is in the sport, including as this scene depicts the ability to go out for a simple jog. And that has got to hurt for the person who does have the sport as something also to go to and go with as part of their main comfort zone. The ill winds of the side effects of steroids can bloom in rather sooner than one might think.
Overall the movie has more of an indie film feel rather than a slick Hollywood production but it is very effective in bringing out the characterizations.
The central conflict is whether these characters can muster from somewhere enough to make a turn now, or whether it is still going to be too little and too late.
The acting performances in this movie will stand the test of time.
